Christie graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2000 with a major in Art Studio with a focus in painting. Living in Merced County as a local artist is familiar territory and central to all things treasured. Up until recently, she has never been more serious about prospering as an artist. 2007 has been the year of investigating creative possibilities in her passion for art and has been most productive.
As she re-enters the art world, the future is promising with several recent commissions completed and exhibiting her first group gallery show in Modesto, CA. Equally, managing home, family and art work will continue to be her biggest challenge. What comes naturally is finding beauty and design in her everyday life.
She is always looking for dynamic compositions and welcome happy accidents. Her work consist of loose brush stokes and vibrant color. The application is traditional, but the imagery is cropped digitally which applies a modern imprint. She paints because it’s my passion in hope that is translates visually and stimulates the viewer as well. Above all, she enjoys the process of just being creative.
